About Maneesh Sagar

I'm Maneesh — a senior software engineer in Hyderabad, India, with five years spent building high-throughput financial infrastructure in regulated environments. Most of my work is in Go.

Right now I own the programmability layer for India's Central Bank Digital Currency — the e-Rupee — at NPCI. That's the part of the national payments network that makes money conditional: rules about where a rupee can be spent, on what, and by whom, enforced on the settlement path.

Before that, lending: onboarding, KYC, and disbursal flows at KreditBee. The common thread is systems where being wrong is expensive, so I care about keeping things simple and avoiding complexity that looks impressive but makes maintenance miserable six months later.

Experience

• National Payments Corporation of India Senior Software Engineer, Aug 2024 – present
  Own end-to-end programmability for the Digital Rupee (CBDC). Designed the Rule Management System that governs how programmable conditions are defined, validated, and enforced across transactions, and the bidirectional sync workers that reconcile programmable-currency state between participating banks and the central ledger. Cut validation latency on the critical settlement path and shipped two programmability features from design to production rollout. Go, Hyperledger Fabric, Gin, MariaDB, Docker.
• KreditBee Software Engineer, Jul 2022 – Jul 2024
  Built the complete onboarding, documentation, and disbursal flow for Business and Loan-Against-Property products, including the E-NACH, E-Sign, and KYC integrations that loan origination runs on. Designed a CSV batch-processing system that moved heavy workloads off AWS Lambda, a query-driven email reporting system, and asynchronous CRON workers for failure recovery. Go, Rust, AWS (Lambda, SNS, SQS, ECS), MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch.
• Tata Consultancy Services Software Engineer, Sep 2019 – Nov 2020
  Backend Java developer on enterprise systems; built REST APIs extending a ticket-management dashboard. Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, J2EE.
